This is nothing to do with PC. LBC employed Hopkins because she is controversial and would increase ratings. Hopkins made a remark about a 'final solution' a lot of people become outraged, a lot of people defended her right to free speech.
The advertisers who pay LBC thought different, decided she was toxic and threatened to pull their advertising unless she was sacked. Had the advertisers decided to stay, then LBC would have kept her on.

I'm just glad Israeli's fight for their shit. She got away with calling refugees cockroaches because they have no way of fighting back.
Thankfully Jewish people don't play games and will not stand for all that anti-semetic crap.
She's not stupid , she used the term on purpose and she deserves to be sacked. A great day. Hopefully Farage is next and we can have a normal radio station again.

I'm no fan of hers mainly because its a cynical act and I don't believe even SHE believes a lot of the stuff she comes out with to push peoples buttons.
But still think if LBC were going to employ her they knew what they were getting and would be disappointed if she came on and was bland and reasonable.
Be interested to know what her job description and/or brief was when they hired her.

And no if they are within the law there is no need to punish.
If I own a radio station and I have a contributor who regularly gratuitously offends people [ it is her stock in trade after all ] do I have the right to terminate her work for me? Emphatically yes.

Don't be fooled by La Hopkins because she knows exactly what she is saying and carefully calibrates it to effect.
What amazes me is this woman came to prominence on "The Apprentice" because among other things she flagrantly displayed enormous snobbery. How ironic that years later the sort of person who defends her utterings was one of her regular early targets for disparagement.

Taken within the political context and knowing her position being a broadcaster and the other well known meaning, yes it is rabble rousing . .
It is a statement by a pretty low level broadcaster, if for instance Nick Ferrari said it of James O'B , would there have been the same response?
